Yesterday was the long-awaited announcement for the next character to join the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roster, given in the form of a short Super Smash Bros. presentation. Minecraft’s Steve was revealed as part of a collaboration with Super Smash Bros. and Minecraft, which will also bring a new stage to the Ultimate battlegrounds based on Minecraft’s world. The ambiance will also be kicked up a notch with seven musical tracks from the series.
Steve is part of the Fighters Pass Vol. 2, and the seventh DLC fighter to join. Four additional characters are still coming down the pipeline, along with release date details. There should be more information coming directly from Nintendo this weekend, so stay tuned!
