In the midst of Thursday’s Wii U announcements, you may have spotted a quick flash of the game Trine 2: Director’s Cut. Apparently in the European press conference, President of Nintendo of Europe highlighted the game during their segment on the Wii U eShop.
Shibata confirmed that the Wii U version will contain exclusive content, namely that shown in the trailer below. The game has been available for some time on PS3, Xbox 360, and Steam, but if you purchase the Wii U version you’ll also receive the already-released DLC of “The Goblin Menace” included.
If that’s not enough, this version will include a new mode called Magic Mayhem, which can support up to 3 players in multiplayer (online / local).
Sounds like a contender for this coming launch period… and besides, it looks really good.
