Yes, it’s that time… the DLC for New Super Mario Bros. 2 has been announced rather suddenly, in a Japanese Nintendo Direct hosted by Satoru Iwata. He announced three new level packs, all set for release on October 2nd in Japan, each at the price of ¥200 (which is around $2 USD). The level packs will expand Coin Rush Mode.
The “Survival Panic Pack” will include three very difficult courses, which will be a welcome challenge for Mario fans who breezed through the new game. “Gold Mario Go! Go! Pack” will contain three new stages of the easier variety, with the challenge goal of 30,000 coins. The third pack is called “Challenge the Record Pack”, which contains three high-score challenge timed stages—and for this one, fast players will see their ranking on Nintendo Japan’s website.
