Good news for fans of Japanese games—in the Nintendo Direct broadcast today, we learned that SUDA51’s Liberation Maiden is available for purchase in the 3DS eShop! It’s already available in Japan and Europe, but now NA gamers can enjoy the interesting story & gameplay of this title. It’s also the first in a series of three of Guild01’s games to be headed to North America, in an effort to gain a larger presence for Japanese games on this side of the international dateline.
SUDA51 is known for titles such as GameCube’s Killer 7 and Wii’s No More Heroes, so they’re no strangers to Nintendo platforms. Fans of Japanese games will find a lot to like about Liberation Maiden, though buyer beware—early reports have criticized the game’s length, though the visuals and quirky style may make up for it.
