It appears that one of the forerunners in the Wii U’s eShop—even just over the past few days since launch—is Trine 2: Director’s Cut. Regardless of the fact that the original game was released last year for other systems, the Wii U version contains a Goblin Menace expansion pack—with promises of a multiplayer mode called Magic Mayhem popping onto the game in the near future.
The game supports up to three players, and these can be local or online. You have plenty of controller options—GamePad, Wii Remotes, Nunchuks, Wii U Pro Controllers, or the Wii’s Classicl Controllers—making it an easy game to load up and play without the necessity of purchasing add-ons.
It’s available in the eShop for $19.99 in North America, with a European release coming on November 30th (European launch day for Wii U).
