Trine 2 Update a Possibility in January

Late in 2012, developer Frozenbyte announced that they planned to release an update for Trine 2: Director’s Cute before the holidays arrived. In this update, they promised a lot: Wii U Pro controller support, improved graphics, and perhaps most importantly, voice chat. But here we are, almost at the end of January, and… no update.

So, what now? Well, Frozenbyte released a video that promises we’ll see the update next week, at the same time as the game releases across the seas in Australia & New Zealand. Apparently the delay can be chalked up to natural business slowdown during the holiday season and some submission hiccups as the calendar changed (whatever that means).

For the sceptical, you can watch the video for yourself here and decide whether to accept the apology or not:

Dave will tell you that he likes to play video games, this is in fact a lie. What he really likes to do is buy games, and leaving them sitting unopened on his shelf. He is a monster.
