It’s here… it’s finally here! It’s happening!!!
We’re getting a new Mario Party game, and it’s coming to the 3DS this winter! Today’s Nintendo Direct revealed the good news, announcing the game and that Luigi will play a prominent role in it—naturally, considering this is the Year of Luigi.
We saw a bit of footage which revealed the classic Mario Party playstyle, which suggests that the game won’t stray too far from its successful formula. Roll the dice, advance along the board, and obtain rewards (or penalties) and play games along the way. There will be seven boards to play, along with 81 new mini-games, AR, and StreetPass.
This will likely be a holiday release, since it’s coming late in the year… but it’s okay! We’ve waited long enough, what’s another 8 months?
