No, it’s not coming this year (as far as we know)… but the Nintendo Direct presentation gave us a look ahead to some titles in development for 2014. Though we’re not 100% sure that this one isn’t coming this year, Satoru Iwata gave excited fans a sneak peek at a new Yoshi’s Island coming to the 3DS.
The small glimpse of footage showed us an art style that’s reflective of other titles in the series over the years, plus plenty of egg throwing to build up that nostalgia and excitement. The game will, of course, have some new actions for Yoshi, but other details are forthcoming at this time.
It’s not much to go on at the moment, but it’s plenty to look forward to!
