Tomorrow, Luigi gets another moment in the spotlight, one of many he’s receiving this year! The New Super Luigi U update comes to the Wii U for download content for New Super Mario Bros. U. You’ll also be able to play with the Wii U Pro Controller, which is great news for anyone who bought the controller and had to set it aside for the new Mario title.
Later this summer, the Luigi DLC will be available as a boxed copy on store shelves, but in a move that’s becoming more and more common from Nintendo, the company is encouraging players to choose DLC over the boxed version. Players who register their DLC on Club Nintendo and complete the player survey before the deadline of August 1st will not only receive double coins, but will also be entered into a draw to win a Year of Luigi pin!
There will be 980 pins given away (yeah, we’re scratching our heads at that one too), with an approximated value of $2.25… sentimental value not factored, of course.
