Assault Android Cactus Coming to Wii U

Australian developer Witch Beam is returning to the Wii U eShop with a new title this year, the second twin-stick shooter for the system since their first offering, Nano Assault Neo when the Wii U launched.

This new title—Android Assault Cactus—puts players in charge of an “enthusiastic police android” named Cactus, who must report to a ship overrun by malfunctioning robots. Naturally, the best way to deal with malfunctioning robots is to shoot them and blow up as many as possible (doesn’t anyone have an engineer around anymore?).

The game will quickly descend into bullet hell, which is more or less the point with this type of game. There will be stages that adjust to the player’s gameplay, plus four different characters to choose from, each with their own unique play style. And there’s multiplayer!

The Wii U should see this game sometime in the first quarter next year.

Watch the trailer and see if this is a title to put on your play list!

Dave will tell you that he likes to play video games, this is in fact a lie. What he really likes to do is buy games, and leaving them sitting unopened on his shelf. He is a monster.
