During the special Pokémon direct broadcast earlier this month, Game Freak and Nintendo announced a new, upcoming service called Pokémon Bank. Trainers will be able to store their ‘Mon in this cloud-based service and then withdraw them later to use—but oddly enough, this service will be fee-based.
However, according to an interview with fellow news site Nintendo Life, the banking service won’t be a simultaneous launch with the new games, Pokémon X & Y. European and Japanese players will have to wait until December to take advantage of the service, and presumably the same is the case for North America.
Whether you’ve been excited about the bank feature or considering it with trepidation, looks like you’ll have a little extra time to make up your mind.
