Mario Gives Away Free Systems on Southwest

Like any major company, Nintendo has a number of corporate and promotional partnerships, and their most recent collaboration announced is a partnership with Southwest Airlines. Nintendo is now the “official video game partner” of the company, which means that they’ll be setting up dedicated Wii U Gaming Lounges in some major airports from now until December 22nd. Passengers waiting for their flights will be able to, you guessed it, try out some major release titles while waiting for their flight.

Presently, the partnership and lounges have been announced for these specific airports: Chicago Midway, Denver, Atlanta, Tampa Bay, Dallas Love Field, and St. Louis.

As expected, Mario showed up at Southwest in New Orleans to kick off the promotion the right way! He gave away free Wii U systems to “more than 100 passengers on flight 1883 from New Orleans to Dallas Love Field”… now that’s what we call flight value!

There will be additional giveaways between now and December 25th, and interest potential passengers can check out the designated flights at www.southwest.com/nintendo.

If you’re near one of these airports and find yourself on a flight this next month, it may be worth heading over to check it out!
