This year has seen Nintendo begin a heavy push for downloading games onto one’s console instead of purchasing hard copies in-store. While there are still some issues with this for many people—such as having hardware-based account data and premium prices on the games—the amount of people shifting to downloads has certainly increased.
Nintendo of America is doing their part to encourage downloading during the holiday season, and is letting everyone know that right now at Best Buy, customers can purchase an eShop card for 20% off —becoming, more or less, a discount for possible downloads.
Unlock joy this holiday with a Nintendo eShop Card! You’ll save 20% when you purchase at @BestBuy now through Dec. 13 http://t.co/44ZGjD2lXn

The offer expires soon, so take advantage of this while you can. While we haven’t checked on the update on our 3DS / Wii U from yesterday just yet, we suspect that you’ll now be able to share those funds between systems using your Nintendo Network ID!
