Sorry, Shantae fans… but you’re going to have to wait a little bit longer for Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse, the third entry in the series from WayForward.
This download title for the 3DS has had its release date pushed back little by little, and the studio’s Matt Bozon has finally confirmed what has seemed quite obvious to the rest of us:
Looking at sometime this winter for Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse. So Dec 21 – Mar 19 timeframe. A couple more months, best guess.

So, it’s disappointing to see the title delayed until next year, but at least it’ll give you something to play once the glow of holiday release season wears off. WayForward is also working on a multiplatform title Shantae: Half-Genie Hero (confirmed for the Wii U eShop), so we know they’re hard at work on bringing these titles to their fans.
