It’s time to learn what’s up for Nintendo Downloads this week! Sadly, there’s not a whole lot to choose from right now, but that’s okay—you’re probably still playing the games you received over the holidays, right? And if not, well, we’re sorry. You might find something here, after all.
Wii U eShop
F1 Race Stars: Powered Up Edition (Codemasters) — $29.99: The game promises to be a light-hearted karting game, based on the swankiest motor-sport even in the world. This edition has four extra tracks and a bonus pack for the Wii U.
Unepic (EnjoyUp Games) — $9.99: A dungeon RPG that’s 2D and full of rooms… you’ll find potions, weapons, and whatever else you’d expect in a dungeon (we assume). It uses the GamePad to help your sort your items or for off-TV play.
Wii U Virtual Console
Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest (Konami) — $4.99: A game that was divisive during its original release window, it’s now back to confuse you and make you wonder if this is really a Castlevania game after all. Opinions are divided, but if you’re a new player to the game, don’t be ashamed if you need to check a game guide or ask the Miiverse for help on some of the puzzles. No, really. We understand.
3DS eShop
Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl (Atlus) — $19.99 from January 21st-27th: This is regularly $39.99, and considered a “retail download discount”… so grab it while you can! The sale doesn’t last all that long.
3DS Virtual Console
Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest (Konami) — $4.99: See above. Same as the Wii U version, but on your 3DS.
