Project CARS Drops Back to the 2015 Starting Line

Despite the game’s ongoing development since 2011 and anticipation of its release this November, Bandai Namco has confirmed that the Wii U version of Project CARS won’t be heading out of the garage until sometime next year.

Developer Slightly Mad Games hasn’t shown any Wii U footage of the game so far in any of its demos, despite the original promise to release the game along with the Xbox One, PS4, and PC versions. Despite this obvious oversight, the developer has assured fans that the Wii U version will be just as good as the other versions… but with support for the Xbox 360 and PS4 versions recently dropped too, some worry from fans is to be expected.

As a high-profile Wii U release, the delay of Project CARS hearkens back to other delayed games for the Nintendo system… is this an ongoing sign of developers’ continued lack of faith in the Nintendo console?

Faith likes games and books and cake and writing and Lara Croft, not necessarily in that order. She also thinks a Skylanders cartoon show is a really, REALLY good idea...
