In an announcement that comes as a bit of a surprise, there has been official confirmation that the only version of co-op play available for Hyrule Warriors will be local, ie. when you’re playing on the same Wii U system.
This is a disappointing and strange announcement for many fans, who thought that when Nintendo confirmed online functionality for the game some time ago, online co-op would be included right alongside things like Miiverse connectivity and “Special battle” modes.
Evidently this is not the case, and we’re wondering if this is a complete misfire for the game and the company. Are you disappointed? Does this change things for you?
