Japan Gets Animal Crossing Content for Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate

Yes, you read that title correctly. This year’s Tokyo Game Show has heard the announcement that Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate on the 3DS will be receiving Animal Crossing content—which isn’t perhaps quite as strange as it sounds.

The Monster Hunter series has seen crossovers before, including Zelda (and other crossovers with Sonic and Taiko: The Drum Master have been confirmed), but this is perhaps the strangest crossover yet announced.

The nature of the TGS means that we have no idea yet if the content will be heading to Western shores in the future. Perhaps a flood of emails to Capcom will let them know fans are interested? Or if you’re just plain curious, watch the footage from the announcement below.

Faith likes games and books and cake and writing and Lara Croft, not necessarily in that order. She also thinks a Skylanders cartoon show is a really, REALLY good idea...
