New Nintendo 3DS Release Date Confirmed

As expected, the Big Announcement for the Nintendo Direct presentation today was the release date for the New Nintendo 3DS. It’ll hit store shelves on February 13th, and in North America, we’ll only be getting the New Nintendo 3DS XL.

The system will be available in Red and Black, and cost $199.99. No smaller models have been announced for the region, which is a little odd, so hopefully we’ll hear from Nintendo regarding this decision in the near future.

There will be two special editions coming as well: The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D Edition and Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate Edition. Both of these will retail for $229.99 in North America.

The new handheld will have improved 3D with face tracking, a faster CPU, a C-stick for more accurate movement, more shoulder buttons and of course, NFC support.

Who’s ready for February to arrive?!

Dave will tell you that he likes to play video games, this is in fact a lie. What he really likes to do is buy games, and leaving them sitting unopened on his shelf. He is a monster.
