Star Wars Confirmed Appearance in Disney Infinity 2.0

It’s been more or less assumed that we’d see the introduction of Star Wars in Disney Infinity 2.0, but we hadn’t yet heard any kind of confirmation in that vein. And of course, there was always the possibility that Disney could take a different direction… but thankfully, it looks like they’ve gone with the predictable, and we’re okay with that.

In Disney Infinity 2.0, a Landspeeder has been sighted as a reveal once you have purchased and fully levelled all the new characters for the game. Yes, it’ll cost a chunk of change to do so—and take a while—you’ll also be able to access it through a user-generated Toy Boy in the Marvel Arena that’s available for all Disney Infinity 2.0 users to download.

The Landspeeder is a vehicle for a single character, and behaves just like you’d assume a Landspeeder would. This iconic vehicle makes us wonder—will this be presented as Play Set add-ons to 2.0, or is it a tease for Disney Infinity 3.0: Star Wars? Presumably we’ll hear some official words on this as the year wears on.

Remember, shortly after the game was released, there were reports of Lightsabers in the first game’s Hall of Heroes… so at the very least, something’s coming, we just don’t know what form it will take yet.

Dave will tell you that he likes to play video games, this is in fact a lie. What he really likes to do is buy games, and leaving them sitting unopened on his shelf. He is a monster.
