Nintendo of America has been releasing some pretty entertaining commercials over the past few years, targeting various demographics and doing their best to combine live-action with game content in their advertisements. Pikmin 3 and Mario Kart 8 are the first to come to mind.
Naturally, Nintendo is taking a similar track with their new hardware, presenting us with some bizarre and quirky commercials for the New Nintendo 3DS XL.
The videos have a “New is Good” theme, featuring a University Professor demonstrating the improved features of the new XL handheld. There are, of course, appearances by Mario and Luigi, and the tone of the commercial as a whole is rather different from what you’d expect from a sales pitch.
Are they cool? Fun? Interesting? Just plain weird? We’ll let you decide…
