More Marth amiibo for North America?!

Nintendo knows all about the amiibo stock issues in North America and around the rest of the world, and while they’ve promised to release more of some figures, they haven’t exactly let us know which ones we’ll be seeing more of in the months ahead. We’ll be getting amiibo in card form later this year, as we reported on earlier, so we expect that maybe only the more popular figures or ones that are critical to unlocking game content will be seeing new runs.

One of those rare figures is Marth, and Nintendo did confirm in a Nintendo Direct broadcast earlier this year that the Fire Emblem character would reappear in stores at some time. Since the amiibo has functionality in the upcoming Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. game as well (coming very soon on March 13th), it shouldn’t be a surprise that Nintendo of America has announced a timeframe for the new Marth figures.

We’ll be seeing more Marth stock in the region in… late April. Weeks after the 3DS game has arrived. Well, that’s less than ideal, but we’re wondering if manufacturing delays have caused the issue, because clearly it’s not ideal for Nintendo either.

At least we’ll get more, so if you’re patient enough to wait another month or so to play Code Name: S.T.E.A.M., you could wait for the figure. Or just play it again after you find one… we’re hearing the game really is that good!
