Nintendo and Universal Studios Announce Partnership

Excuse us while we hyperventilate over here for a little bit…

Okay, we’ll try to get through this. Yes, it’s true. Nintendo and Universal Parks & Resorts have announced a partnership that will bring attractions based around Nintendo’s games and characters to Universal’s theme parks.

There are no locations or specific attractions announced at this time, and apparently ideas are all still under development, but with so many characters and franchises to choose from over the course of Nintendo’s history, the possibilities really do seem endless.

Here’s a bit from the press release:

Universal theme parks offer incredibly popular, innovative themed family entertainment experiences based on compelling stories and characters – using powerful storytelling and innovative technology. Nintendo has created remarkable and imaginative worlds filled with captivating stories and beloved characters. Now, for the first time, those stories and characters will be brought to life in entirely new ways – only at Universal theme parks.”

All we can say is, as soon as the real life Nintendo Land opens, we’re there.

Faith likes games and books and cake and writing and Lara Croft, not necessarily in that order. She also thinks a Skylanders cartoon show is a really, REALLY good idea...
