Release Window for The Legend of Zelda Wii U is Back

There’s been another round of financial results posted for Nintendo, and as usual there are ups, downs, and some general shoulder-shrugging in response to the numbers. These results often bring us updates on the company’s releases, though these aren’t always set in stone.

However, here we are with news that many, many fans have been eager for: the update on The Legend of Zelda for Wii U, which was given a ‘TBC’ label back in Q2’s report. Yikes! As a game that so many fans have been waiting on, it’s clearly made fans anxious. The good news is that it’s been returned to ‘2016’ status, suggesting—perhaps a little too hopefully—that we’ll be seeing the game during this year’s Anniversary celebrations for the Zelda franchise.

There were a few other things worth noting, though none so critically important as the previous news. Project Giant Robot has been given the ‘TBC’ window, as well as Project Guard. These games were first previewed way, way back in 2014 at E3, so it’s clear that Nintendo has had other priorities since then.

Dave will tell you that he likes to play video games, this is in fact a lie. What he really likes to do is buy games, and leaving them sitting unopened on his shelf. He is a monster.
