On July 27th, Level-5 will be holding a Vision 2016 event where they’ll be previewing their new game titles for the year ahead—and a preview stream from CEO Akihiro Hino suggests that it’ll be an event worth watching!
Indeed, a new Professor Layton game will be revealed at the event, described as a “legitimate” entry in the series of games—more like the original, a story-driven puzzle game with plenty of challenge. Apparently we can rest assured that it is not Layton 7, the odd creation that has since vanished from consciousness…
However, apparently the new Professor Layton game will feature a new main character, but it’s not worth getting alarmed over—some of the concept art shown should reassure fans that this is indeed the type of game they’ve been waiting for.
