Fire Emblem Heroes kicks off with a bang in Japan while Nintendo shares soar.

Fire Emblem Heroes has recently been released on a number of smart devices around the world. Players can play for free, or gamble orbs in the “summon” part of the game. So far it seems that it’s quite possible to get through a ton of game content without spending any money!

It’s still early on, but the game seems to be making waves for Nintendo in the Japanese market. Fire Emblem Heroes is currently top of the Japanese iOS free download chart and third in the grossing chart.

These positive early results have caused a sharp upturn in Nintendo’s share value. Nintendo’s share prices ended today up a significant amount, 6.33%.

Only time will tell if Fire Emblem Heroes has the staying power to command the market’s attention or if it will fade away like so many app games before it.

Faith likes games and books and cake and writing and Lara Croft, not necessarily in that order. She also thinks a Skylanders cartoon show is a really, REALLY good idea...
