Bandai Namco… IS working on Metroid Prime 4?!

Metroid Prime 4 has to be one of the most anticipated games for the Nintendo Switch, and has been since the announcement came down the line at E3 last year. However, there’s been very little—some might argue nothing—mentioned about it since then, which has sent the rumor mill a-swirling. One small detail that was learned at some point was that Retro Studios, who played a strong role in the original Metroid Prime trilogy, would not be developing Metroid Prime 4.

Then the rumors shifted to suggest id Software might be working on it, and then that took a backseat to the Bandai Namco rumors. What is true? What is real? WHAT IS ANYTHING ANYMORE?

Ahem.

Existential crisis aside, Eurogamer has done what none of us ever thought would happen (ie. the world actually receiving some concrete details) and confirmed via multiple sources that yes, Bandai Namco is working on Metroid Prime 4—and even further than that, it’s the Singapore studio.

And that’s it. But that’s more than we had before, and that’s something.
