Nintendo Switch Online Subscriptions Go Live… But Not in Canada

The details for Nintendo Switch Online have been slow to arrive and scarce to track down, ever since the concept of the subscription service was announced. However, sightings online have been letting us know that there are currently subscription listings live on Amazon to preorder this service.

One of the listings offers up a 12-month sub for around $20USD, with the second listing a 3-month sub for approximately $8USD. According to the listing, Amazon will contact buyers when the program goes live in September.

Nintendo has stated that the service will give players access to online multiplayer, cloud-based game saves, special discounts, and a library of classic games as an incentive. We’re also aware of two additional subscription tiers that haven’t appeared on Amazon, one-month and a family pricing package, which will be scaled in accordance with the aforementioned price points.

The preorder links currently appear to be live in the USA and the UK, but not in Canada, so… sorry, fellow Canucks. Looks like we’ll be waiting a little longer to throw our cash money at the big N.

Faith likes games and books and cake and writing and Lara Croft, not necessarily in that order. She also thinks a Skylanders cartoon show is a really, REALLY good idea...
