Very, VERY Limited Edition Crash Bandicoot Switch

We’ve heard of exclusives, but this is really something else. Activision has created an extremely—and we mean that in the most extreme sense of extremely—limited edition Nintendo Switch console featuring the beloved character of Crash Bandicoot. You will likely never see one in person, either… because there are only three of them in the entire world.

Head here to the unboxing video to take a gander: Domtendo Custom Nintendo Switch Unboxing

The Switch console has an image of Aku Aku on the back, with a themed color scheme in green and orange. Even the JoyCons have a reverse color scheme to the main system, which is an aesthetically pleasing dynamic.

Each of the three systems also have a numbered label on the upper right corner, just to make you feel a little more anxious about how rare these are.

These three systems were created to celebrate the release of the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, and appear to have been sent out to high-profile influencers in exchange for online publicity, which is not an unusual practice.

Will the excitement surrounding these images appearing online mean that either Nintendo or Activision will go ahead and release more of these, or even decide to give us some character-based Switch consoles? Who knows! Listen, Nintendo, all the fans want to do is give you money…
