The BAFTA Awards were held over the weekend (British Academy Children’s Awards), and the show featured a “Best Game” category with nominations that included Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, Everybody’s Golf, Frantics, and Knack 2.
Looking at that list, the winner may seem obvious… and it was! Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle took home the title of best video game.
The game was received very well after release, much to everyone’s surprise at the strange collaboration, but the amount of hard work and passion that went into the title from game director and Nintendo mega-fan Davide Soliani was clear to those who played it. Congrats, Ubisoft and Nintendo!
So many great games, but there can only be one winner – congrats to @Ubisoft's Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle ? #BAFTAChildrensAwards #BAFTAKids pic.twitter.com/1BWh0sfBe9
