Halfway through the Nintendo Direct presentation, viewers learned that the Rune Factory franchise would be returning with Rune Factory 5 coming at some point, and Rune Factory 4 Special coming later this year on the Switch.
And while a definitive release date for Rune Factory 5 still hasn’t been announced, the teaser website for the game confirms a launch in 2020, with the Nintendo Switch as the target platform (obvious enough, but you never know).
That’s really all the information we have at this point, but considering it’s labeled as the next installment in the series, we imagine fans will enjoy more of the same—farming, action RPG elements, and a fantasy world to explore. Maybe a bit of romance. Yep, that’s Rune Factory.
