Better Late Than Never: Jumanji Video Game Arrives in November

Honestly, we’re not sure the adage applies in this case, but our team really enjoyed the latest Jumanji film, so we’re cautiously optimistic. Coming from Bandai Namco, Outright games, and Funsolve (a UK based developer), Jumanji: The Video Game will be heading to Nintendo’s console as part of a collaboration with Sony Pictures.

This is a licensed game, based on the film, and puts players directly in the shoes of the movie characters. You’ll be searching for the Jewels of Jumanji, facing off against deadly beasts, and trying to make your way home.

Richard Tawn, founder and director of Funsolve, said:

“This is a dream come true for our studio. Adapting the exotic, dangerous and hilarious world of Jumanji into a video game has pushed us to create something truly special. We’ve got some incredibly exciting features and reveals coming soon, but for now let’s just say the game is coming this November, and puts you in the shoes of iconic Jumanji heroes.”

The game hits shops on November 15th.
