Opening Week Sales Pass 250,000 for My Friend Pedro

Good news coming out of release week for Devolver Digital and My Friend Pedro, the bizarre “gun ballet” platformer full of explosive, visually sensational action sequences based set in a violent criminal underworld: Between the PC and Switch editions, the game has sold over 250,000 copies.

This sets My Friend Pedro as the “biggest launch to date” for the publisher, and to set that in perspective, Devolver Digital’s launch week of Katana Zero this past April saw 100,000 copies of that title sold… which they’d considered a rousing success.

So comparatively, selling over 250,000 copies of this latest release is definitely a big deal. To celebrate the successful launch of this latest title, Devolver Digital has shared a video to their YouTube channel called ‘Behind the Schemes’, which introduces Victor Ågren, the one-man dev team behind this game of blood, bullets, and banana.

Faith likes games and books and cake and writing and Lara Croft, not necessarily in that order. She also thinks a Skylanders cartoon show is a really, REALLY good idea...
