After its one-day-early launch last week, it was reported that Dr. Mario World had been downloaded two million times in the first 72 hours of release. According to additional data released by Sensor Tower Store Intelligence, the game has officially passed the five million downloads mark in just its first week.
These numbers position Dr. Mario World as Nintendo’s fourth-biggest mobile launch to date, behind Fire Emblem Heroes and Super Mario Run (with over eight million downloads) and well ahead of Dragalia Lost (under a million).
And even with this spot, and a lower revenue coming in from the game, Dr. Mario World has made around $500,000 to date, which is not a small number. Compare Candy Crush Friends Saga, which pulled about $170,000 more than the physician plumber. Not bad for a character with a drastic career change!
