I’m combining these stories, because they’re both short and about game confirmations. What? Look, if it’ll make you feel better you can open this article in two different windows and only read half at a time. Happy? Excellent.
The first news is that Toki Tori 2 is coming out for the Wii U, just like the title of the article says. In case you aren’t convinced, here’s what the Creative Director and Co-Founder of the Toki Tori developer had to say to NWR.
It will be on Wii U. Definitely. Yes.
So… maybe? Also:
We’re pretty sure that it’s going to happen really quickly after launch. Maybe at launch but we don’t know, depends on Nintendo plans.
I’d guess probably as a launch title for the Wii U Ware, or whatever they’re going to call the downloadable content shop. So that’s good news, as Toki Tori was a pretty fun game. Here’s the ‘Teaser’ trailer:
Now for the second bit of news, which is less news and more of a confirmation. We heard that Rovio was bringing Angry Birds in some flavour to the 3DS, which is just about the only device on the planet that you can’t play it on yet. It’s been quite awhile though, so in a conversation with Joystiq, Chief Marketing Officer Peter Vesterbacka had this to say:
We’ll have our games on the 3DS pretty soon.
Well then, that wraps that up nicely!
