It’s official, which shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone that’s been paying attention. GameTrailers TV will have a first trailer and gameplay tomorrow, which I’ll post here when they show up. Oddly enough, we’ve also got some details on the game prior to it showing up tomorrow from of all places, the Associated Press.
Go and read the whole article, as it’s quite interesting, but I’ll break down the details for you so far:
It will have Wii, Xbox 360, PS3 and ‘A next-gen platform’ versions available.
Voice acting for all characters, along with singing because it’s actually a musical
Drop-in, drop-out co-op play, with your buddy being Oswald who will always be by your side if you’re playing co-op or single
Mickey still has his paint/thinner brush, Oswald controls electricity and you will need to work together, with choices that effect what happens in the game
Songs and music change based on your good/bad, like the sprites in the original Epic Mickey
Camera has had 1000 changes, goal is for player to never need to touch the camera controls through the game
Takes place in Wasteland, will revisit some areas that have been changed by disasters and totally new areas
Out this fall
