If you’re a fan of our big pink friend, you’re going to be pleasantly surprised at the news surrounding the Kirby’s 20th Anniversary Special Collection. The list of games included in the Japanese version has been released, which we’re hoping will be similar or the same once the collection heads across the pond to North America and Europe.
The games included in the collection are: Kirby’s Dream Land, Kirby’s Adventure, Kirby’s Dream Land 2 & 3, Kirby Super Star, and Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. You’ll also get additional content in the form of “More Challenge Stage”, which has two modes called “Sword Challenge” and “Fighter Death Match.”
You’ll also get a bit of a history lesson in the form of a Kirby calendar that shows the progression of Kirby through games, cartoon appearances, and so on.
We’re also hearing of an art book and a soundtrack, which tells us that there’s significant effort going into planning this collection and doing Kirby fans right. There’s more here than just repackaging old games, which makes it sound like a worthwhile investment on release.
