Last Story Release Confirmed for August 14th

Some of you have been waiting patiently for a confirmed release date for The Last Story, ever since you learned it would hit shelves this summer. Turns out publisher XSeed has finally gone ahead and confirmed that August 14th is when you’ll be able to head to your local shop and pick up a copy… and there are extras!

Pre-orders through Amazon.com, GameStop, EB Games Canada receive a soundtrack disc that contains seven tracks, which will no doubt excite fans of the upcoming game. You’ll also want to get on board as quickly as possible, as XSeed has mentioned that launch copies will serve as limited editions and contain an art book and different packaging than editions released later in the year.

Launch copies are priced at $49.99, and should give Wii fans a chance to play one more worthwhile RPG on the system (from what we’ve heard) before retiring it for the Wii U this fall.
