During the E3 Nintendo Direct today, Nintendo made the announcement for Super Mario 3D World for the Wii U!
The game will feature the same kind of gameplay we came to love in the 3DS game Super Mario 3D Land, and players will be able to choose from four unique characters to play with: Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Toad. They’ll also have their own abilities—think Super Mario Bros. 2!
If you’re a young’un and aren’t too familiar with the older game, this means that Peach has a slight hovering ability during jumps, Toad turns into a sprinter… that kind of thing. And of course, there will be multiplayer available—whether you want to cooperate or sabotage your fellow players will be up to you.
A new suit for Mario will be introduced in this game—the cat suit! It’ll allow Mario to climb walls and use sharp claws to attack enemies.
And all this will be coming to you in December 2013!
