Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag App Compatible with Wii U

Ubisoft has done what it can to make the experience of playing Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag as immersive as possible, launching an app for download for Android and iOS devices. The app will help players experience even more of Edward Kenway’s Caribbean travels, and is designed to be used when not playing on your console or alongside you when playing.

The app has an interactive World Map—where you can set waypoints while on a treasure hunt—and view real-time mission objectives. You’ll also be able to connect with friends through the app, giving them quartermaster roles.

Any ships that are captured in-game are sent to Edward Kenway’s fleet, then into battle, where they can collect currency, cargo, and complete new missions. All of your game’s data is stored on the Progress Tracker, connecting both game and app to make the experience fully complete.

Thus far, it’s been confirmed for use with the Wii U version of the game, and you can learn a little more about it works in the video below:
