One of the new titles confirmed by Nintendo today during the E3 Digital Event is a game called Splatoon. This is a 4×4 combat game where your objective is simple: Cover as much of the level’s physical area as possible with your color of ink.
Weird? Yes. But it gets weirder. You can also transform into a squid (yes, you read that right) and swim through the ink of your team, where you can hide from enemies and move with speed. The game uses the GamePad to aim, and we’ll be seeing it in 2015.
Is the game people were waiting for? No, not yet, anyway. But it’s refreshing to see experimental titles like this come out of Nintendo… plus, it looks pretty darn fun.
