Project X Zone 2 Coming This Fall on 3DS

Fans of Project X Zone know exactly what we’re talking about… but for those who don’t, the game was an enormous SRPG featuring over 200 characters from 30 franchises between three major companies—Sega, Bandai Namco, and Capcom. It was a fan’s dream mashup in many ways, strange though it was.

The original Project X Zone had unique combat and did decently at retail, likely thanks to the incredible roster of familiar faces, lesser known faces, and totally obscure characters. Everyone probably assumed the game was a one-time thing, considering how complex the licensing must have been to pull it off… but we all assumed wrong.

Turns out all three companies were happy enough with the end result and the sales that Project X Zone 2 has been confirmed by Bandai Namco for a release in Fall 2015. There’s very little information about it at this time, though some new characters from Resident Evil and Strider will be added to this installment’s roster.
