It’s almost time! E3 is just around the corner, and Nintendo of America has released plenty of important details about the World Championships and how it’s going to play out.
It’s been confirmed that the format will be comprised of eight games, both retro and current, with Splatoon and the original NES The Legend of Zelda within that list of eight. The event will be hosted by Kevin Pereira, a well known American host with E3 experience at Microsoft events.
We’ve also been given the confirmed list of eight guest competitors that will join the rest of the qualifiers, giving us 16 players to battle it out for Nintendo dominance.
Here’s the list of guests:

- Cosmo (speedrunner)
- TheMexicanRunner (‘NES completionist’)
- Bananas (speedrunner)
- Essentia (speedrunner)
- Trihex (speedrunner)
- Jovenshire (Smosh Games)
- Arin (Game Grumps)
