We’re not long out now from the release of Mighty No. 9, a game touted as the “spiritual successor to Mega Man.” Even though we don’t have a final release date for the 3DS version, we do know it’ll hit the Wii U in September—both on the eShop and as physical in-store copies.
There’s been a development update for the game that posts features for each platform, which will make folks both happy and sad (we predict). The 3DS version will support 3D, but the Wii U version won’t support Miiverse (which is a real shame).
Take a look at the list below:
Nintendo 3DS
- 3D-enabled: Yes
- Touch screen support: Yes
- amiibo support: No
- Spotpass: No
- Streetpass: No
- Mii support: No
Wii U
- GamePad support: Yes
- Motion controls: No
- Miiverse support: No
- amiibo support: No
- Classic controller: TBC
Well, at least we’ll see the dual-screen uniqueness of Nintendo platforms, which will make this one interesting and fun to play on a Nintendo product.
