Animal Crossing: New Leaf is no spring chicken in the world of Nintendo products, but it’s ready to be launched into a new phase thanks to an upcoming re-release and update this November.
The update will bring amiibo functionality into the game, while also getting rid of all those annoying weeds that have popped up around your village over the months while you’ve been away from the game. A Tweet from “Isabelle” stated:
Been away from your town for a while? When the free update arrives this autumn, I’ll take care of all the weeds! pic.twitter.com/Ij0hg25E4q

If you’ve been away from the game, this might entice you to come back. If you’ve never tried it at all, well, there’s an extra level of intrigue now that all those Animal Crossing amiibo you’ve seen sitting on store shelves can finally be used in-game.
