Yup. Nintendo really surprised us all with announcements today, including this mind-boggling bit of fan service: the duo from the N64 platformer Banjo-Kazooie are coming to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate later this year.
They might be shadow fighters of the Duck Hunt duo, but there’s not much info yet beyond the quick teaser in the presentation. We did see a Spiral Mountain stage, Bottles the Mole, and Grunthilda the Witch, and eagle eyed viewers might have caught more.
Interestingly, there’s been no announcement of the original games heading to the Switch, but we don’t think anyone should rule it out after this reveal. You never know!
