In Japan, that is. The opening of Super Nintendo World at the Universal Studios Japan theme park was delayed due to the global coronavirus pandemic; originally it was planned to open during the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.
Provided the global situation improves, we’ll see the Super Nintendo World area open next Spring—but in the meantime, if you happen to be in Japan and desperate for your Mario fix, there are options: a new ‘Mario Café & Store’ will be opening on October 16th in the Hollywood area of Universal Studios Japan.
According to Universal, the Mario Café & Store will offer Mario & Luigi-themed food and beverages, along with plenty of officially licensed merchandise.
